Excavate

"Truth is… a fixed point… not a point of arrival (not the end point of the learning process) but the starting point of all knowledge, a point that cannot be created but only found, recovered if missed – or lost… the point was fixed before I was born, I myself was ‘fixed’ by it before I began to think of points or of anything else – yet finding this point is still my task… I must seek that point actively, and then choose what is not a matter of choice: to embrace voluntarily the inevitable, to submit by choice, in full consciousness, to that which has been present all along in my subconscious."
- Zygmunt Bauman in Culture as Praxis
